A Nordic co-production workshop in 2 parts
Are you a young Nordic director/producer with a documentary project in need of development? The co-production workshop "Twelve for the Future" not only offers you the possibility of developing your projects - it furthermore guarantees that you will gain contacts with colleagues across the Nordic countries - and last but not least it will give you the opportunity to meet and pitch your project to the most important Nordic financiers.
The workshop is divided in 2 parts. The 1st part takes place in August/September, 2005 in Denmark. This session focuses on the development of the participants' projects. The 2nd part takes place in January, 2006 in Helsinki, Finland. Here participants develop their presentation and pitch to a panel of Nordic TV channels and film institutes.
Guided by experienced tutors and working in small groups, the workshop creates an informal atmosphere of knowledge and mutual inspiration leading to encouraging discussions and feedback. Participants will be tutored on project development, financing and pitching.
The dates for the 1st. part of the workshop are: August 30 - September 2, 2005
Participation fee: 1.000 Euro - this includes hotel, food and workshop both for the 1st and 2nd part.

"Twelve for the Future" is organised by European Documentary Network. The aim of the workshop is to create a network of young filmmakers across the borders of the Nordic countries, and to help them develop their ideas to a stage where they can qualify for financial support. The workshop is financially supported by all the Nordic Film Institutes -and all the Nordic commissioning editors support us by being present at the final pitching session in Helsinki.
